TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This is an abbreviated form of our Terms and Conditions and a full set is available on request.

QUOTATIONS

All quotations are valid for 60 days.

PAYMENT

Initial visits and quotations are free of charge. Once you have placed an order, we require a £175 payment to proceed with our initial technical survey. Should you need to cancel your order after our initial survey, we will refund this amount less our expenses.

After the technical survey has been completed and you have signed your order acknowledgement, we require a deposit of 50%, on receipt of which we will order material and commence manufacture.

A further 40% of the total cost is required 72 hours prior to installation, and on successful completion of the installation, we will require the remaining 10% to be paid on site.

SURVEY

If we are arranging your installation, we must survey your property and will take responsibility for all the measurements taken. We will confirm the exact specification and price of your Henry James product following this survey, and at this stage, you will be asked to sign an order acknowledgement.

Should you decide to submit your own measurements, Henry James will make your doors to your size and specification. Amendments are accepted at the quotation stage, but no alterations or refunds are possible once an order has been placed.

INSTALLATION

Henry James' engineers, or our registered installation partners, will carry out the installation of your door. Our teams are committed to taking the utmost care of your property. Please be aware that other trades may need to follow our engineers eg. builders or decorators to complete interior and exterior finishing.

DESIGN

We follow a policy of continuous improvement and the products we supply are not always exactly as per the photographs on our website. Please ask for clarification before ordering if you are unsure.

DELIVERY

Henry James doors are premium products, with a very high technical specification and fabulous kerb appeal. We aim to offer you every possible glazing, colour and hardware option to ensure that your door is unique. To satisfy requirements for a truly bespoke, hand made door takes time. Please allow up to 12 weeks for delivery, although we will usually be able to give better lead times at the time of ordering. If your order is urgent, we do offer an express delivery and installation service at a small cost.

If we are delivering doors for you to install yourself, please ensure that two people plus our driver are on site to offload your doors. In the absence of such assistance, our drivers are instructed not to deliver in order to avoid damage to your new product.. Regrettably, this may result in a second delivery charge.

CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS

Henry James is not responsible for any consequential loss.

CONSUMER RIGHTS

Your consumer rights are protected at all times.

WARRANTIES

Henry James aluminium and PVCu products are supplied with a full 10 year warranty on all profiles and glass units and we pass on the full manufacturers warranty on hardware.

Henry James timber products are supplied with a 5 year warranty on painted or stained finishes, 10 years on glass units and manufacturers warranty on hardware.

Warranties are only valid if your product has been installed correctly in accordance with our instructions and with the relevant code of practice. If you door has not been regularly maintained, your warranty may be compromised.
