The timber bifolding door can be left natural as it is produced.  Alternatively, application of a little wax will enhance the look and give a less rustic feel.

Alternative Timber

If you would like the appearance of a specific timber, this can easily be achieved by applying a suitable stain to the door. In addition, manufacturers offer a range of paint finishes which are also designed to look like other timbers.  The Sapele and Meranti timber that we use as standard are by far the most robust available and they are also the most renewable of all hardwoods.  Painting or staining this wood for a different effect is the most environmentally safe and most durable solution.

As a bespoke door supplier, we are happy to build doors in alternative timber on request, such as oak or reclaimed pine.  However, this will affect the warranty.
